PRIVACY POLICY

How Levelstair Community collects, uses, and protects your personal data.

Last Updated: 22 July 2026

01

Overview & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Levelstair (Pvt) Ltd ("Levelstair", "we", "us"), the registered entity behind the Levelstair Community platform at portal.levelstair.com, collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you create an account or otherwise use the platform.

By creating an account, you confirm that you have read and understood this Policy. If you do not agree with it, please do not register or use the platform.

02

Information We Collect

Account Data

Email address, hashed password, and display name provided when you sign up.

Profile Data

Username, title, bio, skills, gender (optional), portfolio and social links, and generated avatar settings you choose to add.

Activity Data

Events you register or check in for, badges earned, canvas/creative submissions, and community reports you file or are named in.

Technical Data

IP address, browser type, device information, and session cookies needed to keep you signed in and the platform secure.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data (health, financial account numbers, government IDs) through the platform. Please do not submit such information in profile fields, bios, or community content.

03

How We Use Your Information

  • Create and manage your account, and authenticate your sessions.
  • Operate core features: profiles, the member directory, events, badges, and the community canvas.
  • Communicate with you about events, account activity, security, or policy updates.
  • Moderate the platform, investigate reports, and enforce the Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of our systems.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to serve third-party advertising.

04

Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only where necessary to operate the platform, and never for marketing resale:

Service Providers

Infrastructure and database hosting (e.g. our Postgres provider), email delivery, and similar processors bound by confidentiality obligations.

Legal & Safety

Where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Levelstair, our members, or the public.

Public Profile Data

Information you choose to make visible in the member directory or your public profile page is, by design, visible to other members and site visitors.

Business Changes

In the event of a merger, restructuring, or transfer of the Community's operations, with continued protection under this Policy or its successor.

05

Cookies & Sessions

We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling them will prevent you from staying signed in.

06

Data Retention

We retain account and profile data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we remove or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or dispute-resolution purposes (for example, records tied to an open moderation report).

07

Your Rights & Choices

Access

Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

Correction

Update inaccurate or incomplete profile information at any time from your dashboard.

Deletion

Request account and data deletion, subject to records we must keep for legal or safety reasons.

Withdrawal

Withdraw consent for optional processing (e.g. marketing emails) without affecting core account access.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

08

Children's Privacy

The platform is intended for users aged 13 and older. Some of our chapters and campus programs include younger students in supervised, in-person settings, but account registration on this platform requires the minimum age above. If you believe a child has created an account in violation of this policy, contact us so we can review and remove it.

09

Data Security

Passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing and are never visible to our staff in plain text. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data, but no online system can be guaranteed 100% secure. Please use a unique, strong password for your account.

10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above, and, where appropriate, communicated to members directly. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
